Mixmash Records

Founded in 2004, Mixmash Records started out as a label primarily focused on label head honcho Laidback Luke's own releases. The label immediately found a niche and through a string of solid releases like More Than Special and the Jahmirrahman EP series, Mixmash Records grew to what it is today; a strong independent trendsetting record label, responsible for some of the most advanced musical releases. Under Laidback Luke’s supervision and utilizing his legendary production skills and drive Mixmash’ international label profile gained it’s current AAA status and reputation.

Tracks like Luke's own Be, Break Down The House and Show Me Love have reached an anthemic status and still drive clubbers crazy all over the world today! 2009 saw Mixmash kick it all up a notch and expand on Luke’s longstanding involvement with introducing and coaching young talent onto the scene. His web forum is famous as a starting ground for many of todays more exciting producers. Artists like Afrojack, Bart B More, Avicii , Steve Angello, SonicC, Sandro Silva and Oliver Twizt have all been prolific on the forum at one time or another and are all in different stages of their individual very successful careers, most with releases on Mixmash under their belt. 2009 also saw the debut of the Super You&Me events based on the same vision and vibe of the label, always combining exciting new talent with groundbreaking estalblished artists.

With revolt against any musical stigma, Mixmash refuses to be pinned down or branded as a label that releases only one certain genre of electronic music and is adamant in it's pursuit for good music. Making it’s mark on the international music scene, always being the buzz in the Buzzchart itself, sending shivers down any and all house music aficionado’s spine across the globe. A vast array of talent have already found it’s home at Mixmash and it proudly releases good quality house music. Next to providing an international outlet for young talent, many more established artists have had releases or remixes out on this imprint. Roman Salzger, Tiesto, A-trak, Steve Aoki, Diplo, MSTRKRFT, Ferry Corsten and Joachim Garraud are all part of Mixmash’ impressive catalogue.

The future looks bright for Mixmash. 2010 will be packed with exciting new tracks, the Super You&Me mix-compilation has seen it’s birth in a double cd format. The first cd mixed by Luke and inviting hot and happening Avicii to do the honors on the second cd, the series will see a different guest dj on the second CD every edition. The Super You&Me mix-compilation will be launched during the Winter Music Conference in Miami 2010, followed by Luke’s long awaited artist album and with Super You&Me events in Amsterdam, London, Austria, Germany, Los Angeles, New York and Ibiza there will be lots to celebrate this year!
