One step at the time
ATICA is one of those artists that has an infinite amount of creativity and can translate this easily into one successful production after another. His productions and personal take on sound design is something you won’t hear paralleled anytime soon.
ATICA: Some time ago, I wanted to create another track similar to one of my favorite productions called “Go Back.” I didn’t want to just repeat the formula without contributing something new, so I converted the original synthesizer into a pluck and completely changed the groove. Lately, I have also been inspired a lot by SOPHIE’s work and it occurred to me to apply that type of percussion to the style of jackin house. Staying true to my roots as a boy from a small town in the North of Spain, and now living and playing in New York City, surround by “hypebeast” all around. I found it humorous and laughed a little at the situation; my girl recorded the voices at home one day with amusement.
A producer with many faces
ATICA has had a phenomenally rapid rise in the world of electronic music and in the last year has appeared on several of the major international record labels. ATICA is comprised of a large team, headed by the Spanish DJ and Producer Pablo de Rosacruz, based between Madrid and Los Angeles. Starting his musical career at the age of 8 on the prestigious Spanish Jazz School, his father exposed him to a wide variety of music letting him experience everything first hand.
Because of the wide variety of musical styles that have influenced him, ATICA has a clearly defined sound, yet it cannot be easily classified into any musical genre, making it something unique and original.
