How did the track came together

The track has gone through several versions before ending up in the hands of Mixmash’ A&R. Being aired in Don Diablo’s radio show a while back and with many illegal version circulating on the internet, Selecta eventually decided to pick up where he left and rewire the track in the version that is now released.
‘I Can’t Wait’ is now a perfect combination between house & groove with some phat future bass synths greasing up the whole production.

That the track has a very specific sound design comes from Selecta’s intrinsic interest in cars.

Selecta:

Since I was a little kid I kept my passion for cars as you can see in all my branding. The track is inspired by that. I cannot stand the desire to compete, to give all of me. There are car sounds throughout the song, as an atmosphere, just before the drop an engine sounds, the vocals. So, what the song wants to transmit is the desire to compete, to give it all. To start the race.
