The faceless dj/producer duo ‘Tank & Cheetah release their second official release on Mixmash Records sublabel Mixmash Deep. ‘Trust’ is out now.
On ‘Trust’ the illustrious South-African duo teams up with German trio DBN for a release in the line of their first release ‘Luxury’ (Feat. Niles Mason). Accompanied by the soothing lyrics of The Rise, ‘Trust’ establishes itself as a release suited for the Amsterdam based Mixmash.
For years Tank & Cheetah have dominated the charts in South Africa. Their hit songs ‘Like Dat’ & ‘Where The Food At?!’ are just two small examples of the creative geniuses these two are. Unfortunately, after a dramatic argument with their previous label, most of the music got lost forever; only on the dark parts of the Internet some of Tank & Cheetah can still be found.
On ‘Trust’ Tank & Cheetah’s trademark sound meets the unique German trio DBN. Having been in the studio with each other for over 10 years, this trio has synergy like no other. Having had previous releases on both Mixmash Records and it’s sub label Ones To Watch Records, DBN is no stranger to the Dutch label.
The energizing sound of DBN, combined with Tank & Cheetah’s impeccable feel for harmonizing a track all come together on ‘Trust’.
